plastering and skimming

Plastering and skimming are both techniques used in construction and finishing work, but they have distinct differences in terms of purpose and application.

Plastering is the process of applying a layer of plaster or mortar to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth, even surface. Plaster is typically made from a mixture of sand, lime, and cement, and it can be used to resurface or repair damaged walls or add a new layer of finish.

Skimming is the process of creating a smooth, even surface by applying a thin layer of plaster or mortar to an existing wall or ceiling. It is commonly used to repair damaged surfaces or to prepare a wall or ceiling for painting or wallpapering.

At Apex Property Development South Wales, we have the skills and experience to undertake all plastering and skimming work. Get in touch if you need some help with your next project.
