Project Brief
We’re proud to announce the successful refurbishment of the cinema at the University of South Wales Cardiff Campus. In partnership with Apex Energy Solutions South Wales, our team transformed this space into a modern, comfortable, and high-quality environment designed to enhance the student experience.
Scope of Work
As part of this project, we carried out the following works:
- Full project management and supply of all required trades;
- Stripped out the old cinema seats, steps, railings and carpets;
- Extended the existing seat tier levels to reduce steepness and give more room at each seating level;
- Replaced all flooring including a raised pedestal sound proof floor at the front;
- Built up new side panels and installed sound reduction oak wall panning, with bespoke diamond patterns above door ways;
- Supplied and fitted bespoke metal railings with two tier solid oak handrails;
- Supplied and fitted new commercial carpet tiles and phosphorescent step and edging capping;
- Fitted bespoke seating with individual electric points in each chair;
- Ran new electrical supplies with individual fuse spur to each seat as well as new fuse board isolation for each side of seating.
From upgraded finishes and seating to refreshed lighting and audiovisual enhancements, the cinema is now ready to host screenings, lectures, and events in style!
